Our selection of Peperomias, indoor plants grown for their decorative foliage and easy care. The Peperomia metallica 'Colombiana' is a variety with dark, metallic-shimmering leaves. The Peperomia obtusifolia 'Green' boasts beautiful, succulent, dark green leaves that are shiny, waxy, and thick. The Peperomia caperata displays ribbed foliage in varied shades from deep green to purple. The 'Piccolo Banda' is a lovely, compact indoor plant with pale, deeply veined leaves and an interesting texture. The Peperomia argyreia nicknamed 'watermelon' charms with its ovate leaves striped in green and silver.

Peperomias are native to tropical regions of Central and South America. They are compact plants: most measure between 15 and 30 cm in all directions. Their habit can be upright, creeping, or slightly trailing depending on the variety. They are characterised by a typically fleshy foliage and the leaves exhibit a great diversity of shapes: ovate, round, heart-shaped, or lanceolate, sometimes quilted or veined. Colours range from bright green to purple, with variegated patterns in silver, cream, or yellow.

The stems of Peperomias are often thick and flexible and the flowers, though discreet, appear as small, cylindrical, not very showy but interesting spikes for their graphic appeal. These slow-growing plants easily fit into any interior style, whether in pots or hanging baskets.

Perfect for beginners, these plants need soft light and moderate watering. Place them in a light, well-draining substrate to avoid excess water. Resilient and elegant, Peperomias suit both modern and classical interiors. Discover all our varieties in these pages.
