Description

The Inspiration collection of spring bulbs in purple, pink, and white showcases the charming combination of purple, pink, and white in flowers of very different shapes. Not to mention the fragrance of the daffodil. All these bulbs bloom together between April and May to create a lively tableau that heralds spring. Add lightness to your flowerbeds, containers and cut flowers by pairing them with white forget-me-nots!

This selection consists of:

- 10 x Triumph Tulip 'Purple Flag': a charming and elegant variety with a deep, purplish-pink colour. Its flower stands atop thick, sturdy stems that are 45 cm tall.

- 10 x Lily-flowered Tulips 'Marianne': long, slender flowers that open like stars in the sun. They are bi-coloured, in pink with a soft orange edge. The slender and sturdy flower stem can reach a height of 50 cm. This variety faithfully returns each year.

- 15 x Narcissus 'Pueblo': a well-scented variety that bears one to three star-shaped, 7.5 cm diameter flowers, on each 35 cm stem. The corolla transitions from light yellow to white, with its small cup retaining a lovely primrose-yellow hue.

Individually labelled.

This selection works well in border plantings, rockeries, and flower beds. This collection of hardy and reliable bulbous plants will establish itself for many years and bloom joyfully every spring. It can also be used in pots or containers to decorate balconies and terraces. It will also be ideal for creating elegant bouquets. Please note that narcissus stems contain a substance that causes other flowers to wilt quickly. This effect can be mitigated by dipping the ends of the narcissus stems in hot water for 1 to 2 minutes. Additionally, if your tulips open too quickly, you can add two to three ice cubes to the vase each day. Only use a small amount of water, a little at the bottom is sufficient!

Very easy to grow in well-drained soil, these bulbs prefer sunny exposures. Plant them at a depth of 10 cm and spaced 10 cm apart. Group them in clusters of at least 5 bulbs, in uniform colour patches or mixed. You can also plant them in the lawn. In this case, lift the turf, dig and loosen the soil to a depth of at least 20 cm (the height of a spade). Plant your bulbs, cover with soil, and replace the turf. Choose a location where you won't mow too early, as it is necessary to let the leaves wither before cutting them. However, remember to remove the flowers as soon as they fade to prevent seed formation which would unnecessarily deplete the bulb.

Planting and care

Plant your bulbs as soon as possible in a well-drained, light soil. Loosen the soil deeply. Plant at a depth of 10 cm (Bulbs should be covered with twice their height of soil). Space the bulbs a few cm apart, making sure they do not touch. Choose a sunny exposure for better flowering. After flowering, cut the flower stalks and let the leaves dry completely before cutting them.
