Description

Philodendron 'Moonlight' will bring a lovely touch of light to your interior with its bright yellow young leaf. This plant forms a compact, neat-looking rosette, perfect for displaying on a side table or as a centrepiece on a coffee table. Easy to care for, it thrives in soft light with moderate watering and a temperate environment. Be sure to keep the substrate slightly moist without excess water to prevent root rot.

Philodendron 'Moonlight' is a hybrid cultivar with a bushy and compact habit. Native to the tropical forests of Central and South America, the genus Philodendron belongs to the Araceae family, just like Arums. This genus includes over 300 species adapted to warm and humid environments, often in dappled light beneath the canopy. The plant grows in a rosette and typically reaches a height of 40 to 60 cm with a similar spread, depending on growing conditions. Its heart-shaped leaves, measuring around 20 cm long, emerge in a vivid yellow-green, almost fluorescent hue, before maturing into a deeper green. This non-climbing plant rarely flowers indoors but may produce the discreet white inflorescences typical of Philodendrons. This plant is toxic if ingested so should be kept out of reach of children and pets.

Philodendron 'Moonlight' is a major decorative asset thanks to its luminous leaf. It fits perfectly into contemporary, minimalist, or even tropical styles, where it adds a touch of freshness and elegance. Place it in a stylish white ceramic pot or a textured planter for a sleek effect, or opt for a natural wicker container for a bohemian or jungle vibe.

This plant is ideal for a well-lit living room, bedroom, or even on a shelf in an office. In a conservatory, pair it with other plants featuring contrasting leaf, such as Calathea 'Medallion' or the white-veined Philodendron 'Birkin'. Positioned prominently on a coffee table or in an empty corner, Philodendron 'Moonlight' brightens and structures the space.

Location
