The seaside hedge primarily forms a windbreak screen that protects the garden from prying eyes but also serves as a barrier for more delicate plants against the wind and sea spray. It is mainly composed of evergreen bushes, retaining their foliage in winter, perfectly adapted to coastal conditions, and comfortable in salty, often poor and sandy soils. However, some of these species are slightly frost-sensitive. We recommend planting flowering shrubs among foliage shrubs, which will allow you to create a living screen that is not only effective but also decorative all year round. In these pages, you will find a wide selection of shrubs commonly used in coastal gardens such as Pittosporum tobira or Griselinia, but also species that are less commonly thought of, such as olearias and escallonias, as well as many Mediterranean shrubs.

You'll adore them!
