Their generous flowering from summer to the first frosts, and their large flowers in multiple shapes make them essential, both in the garden and in a vase.

Among the other most popular varieties, Dahlia 'My Love' stands out with its large white semi-cactus flowers and slightly yellow centre. The Giant Dahlia 'Fleurel' charms with its huge decorative flowers, ideal for floral arrangements. The Ball Dahlia 'Snowcap' is another popular variety for its compact and abundant pure white ball-shaped flowers. Dahlia 'Bishop of Dover' is particularly remarkable with its single white flowers with lavender highlights and dark purple foliage. For borders and pots, the Dwarf Dahlia 'Gallery Art Fair' is an excellent choice. It produces numerous white flowers on a compact plant, perfect for small spaces.

Dahlias prefer a sunny exposure and rich, well-drained soil. Plant them after the last frosts, burying the tubers about 10 cm deep and spacing them 30 to 50 cm apart. Regular watering is essential, especially in dry periods, as well as mulching to retain soil moisture.
