This traditional De Pypere spade is equipped with footrests, an ash handle with an ergonomic T-shaped handle, and a spade blade securely attached to the handle. It is a high-performance and finely finished garden tool that will last for many years. It is perfect for working and turning any type of soil, creating clean edges, as well as carrying out various landscaping tasks. Its blade is hand-forged from steel, with a boron steel finish.

Dimensions of the spade blade: 28 x 16cm (6in) - Swan neck piece 32cm (13in) - Handle length: 75cm (30in) (suitable for shorter individuals)

The spade is an essential tool, designed for lifting, turning, and loosening the soil deeply, in small areas. Fertiliser (well-decomposed compost, organic fertiliser, horse manure...) can be incorporated into the soil at the same time as it is turned. The spade, with its sharp edges, is also used to cut roots or uproot some vegetable plants (leeks, potatoes, carrots, turnips). This model consists of a handle made of sustainably managed natural ash wood, known for its hardness, with a metal swan neck socket where the slightly curved and sharpened blade is securely fixed. it is forged from toughened steel that is resistant to shocks, torsion, and corrosion thanks to its boron steel finish. On the right and left of the handle, the spade blade has been hammered and flattened to create steps, providing a foothold. The T-shaped handle doubles the force: it aids grip and allows for leverage to drive the head into the ground using the foot. It is compostable, and the metal head is recyclable.

The traditional De Pypere range includes high-quality tools, all forged from steel and equipped with ash handles. The boron steel that covers the blades is very hard and highly resistant, making it a valuable material for tools that can be heavily used in the garden.

This tool is under warranty. The warranty does not apply to handles or grips, only to the metal parts except consumables (screws, springs, etc.) and within the scope of normal use.
