The Easter Lilies, so named for their association with the Easter liturgy, are also called Trumpet Lilies for the shape of their large flowers, or Longiflorum Lilies in their Latin name. The most well-known is the Regal Lily (or Royal Lily), but many newer hybrids have varied the colours without altering their shape. Highly fragrant, especially in the evening, they perfume summer evenings in the garden.
