Our selection of Potentillas with red flowers, including perennial varieties or shrubby Potentillas. In terms of perennial Potentillas, discover the Flamenco hybrid with its scarlet to orange-red flowers, 'Gibson's Scarlet', or the lovely Potentilla atrosanguinea with its velvety corollas in a blood red. Among the shrubby varieties, check out 'Red Ace' with its vermillion red and orange tinges, or 'Marian Red Robin' with a spreading habit and scarlet flowers. 'Flambeau' displays magnificent double flowering in a rich red. Coming from Potentilla fructicosa, these are adorable deciduous small bushes that bloom from May-June until September. These plants dazzle us with their small, simple or double cup-shaped flowers, reminiscent of miniature wild roses. Perennial Potentillas, small in size, find their place in borders and sunny rockeries. The small bushy shrubs, not exceeding 1.50 m (5ft), and with an upright or spreading habit (good as ground cover), are used in flowerbeds or low hedges. Tip: Plant red-flowered varieties in areas that are shaded in the afternoon, as they fade in the sun.
