A selection of Potentilla with orange flowers, such as Potentilla fruticosa 'Hopley's Orange'. This lovely flower colour can be found in many shrubs, but is much less common in perennial Potentillas. The palette ranges from yellow infused with orange-red in 'Mango Tango' to the brightest orange with Potentilla 'Orangissima'. Between these two exampes, all intermediate shades of orange can be found, for example Potentilla 'Tangerine' with flowers that are lemon yellow tinged with more or less pronounced orange. These plants are prized for their endless flowering, which lasts from May-June to September. Small varieties find their place in sunny borders and rockeries, as well as in pots. The small, bushy shrubs, with an upright or spreading habit, are used in flower beds or low hedges. Tip: plant these orange-flowered varieties in shaded areas, as they fade in the sun.
