This forcing film accompanies your vegetable plants in their development, and allows you to harvest your strawberries and vegetables earlier in the season. The perforations moderate the temperature rise under the film or forcing tunnel, which can cause burns, while allowing the plants to breathe. Arches not included.

This CLIMAIRFILM forcing film accompanies your vegetable plants throughout their growth, and allows you to harvest your strawberries and vegetables earlier in the season. The perforations moderate the temperature rise under the film or forcing tunnel, which can cause burns, while allowing the plants to breathe. We offer it in roll format. Arches and attachment clips sold separately.

This perforated growth film can be placed on arches or flat on the ground. It is made of transparent polyethylene with an average thickness of 40 microns. It allows sunlight to pass through, while allowing excess heat and moisture released by plant respiration to escape through 500 small holes per square meter. Thanks to the forcing film, the heat accumulated during the day, mainly at ground level, will be released to the seeds or plants during the night, which activates germination, growth, flowering, and fruit ripening. Treated with UV protection for better resistance to the sun and weather, it can be reused for several years.

Early sowing and cultivation of frost-sensitive plants can be done early in the spring (more or less early depending on the regions), as long as you have a forcing film. This very simple device allows for earlier season harvesting, as well as a longer harvesting period. This cultivation method is suitable for carrot, lettuce, and radish sowings, as well as for strawberry beds. Install your forcing film flat or attach it to arches, protected from the wind and in full sun, and remember to water and ventilate from time to time.
