It is important to securely fasten this fabric to the ground using metal staples so that the wind cannot get underneath and lift it. This woven polypropylene mulch in roll form is ideal for protecting the base of hedges, as well as sloping terrain, where it limits natural erosion by retaining the soil during heavy rains. It should be installed in spring on carefully prepared, weeded, loosened, and enriched soil. This will help the soil to warm up more quickly and the plants to establish roots faster. This material does not compact the soil and allows air and water to pass through. Protected by mulch, the soil dries out much more slowly, reducing the need for watering and significantly decreasing water consumption. Directions for use This roll of mulch fabric is particularly suitable for protecting sloping gardens or plantings on banks. It can also be used when landscaping hedges or planting small fruits. It should be fixed to the ground with metal staples placed around its entire perimeter, at least every metre, to prevent wind from getting underneath. Place it in spring on carefully prepared, weeded, loosened, and enriched soil. Place your bushes between two brown strips, creating cross-cut openings in the fabric using a cutter, for example (avoid serrated knives). Respect the recommended planting distances between plants. Water them at the base using a hose, or install a drip irrigation system.
