Description

The Turfline mosquito-repellent lawn is a blend of grasses and lemon balm that quickly establishes a dense, resilient lawn, naturally repellent to mosquitoes and ticks. Lemon balm, an aromatic plant with a lemongrass and mint fragrance, gives this lawn a scent that deters pests. Its specific composition is adapted to varied climate conditions, whether heat, drought, or humidity. It establishes quickly and creates a perennial carpet that remains decorative even in winter.

Its optimised composition consists of 8% lemon balm, which acts as a natural repellent, 12% Quick Action® ryegrass, a fast-germinating and hardy grass, 20% creeping red fescue, which promotes a uniform and dense cover, and 60% tall fescue, known for its robustness and deep rooting. This blend gives the lawn excellent resilience against diseases, foot traffic, and climate stress, while requiring minimal maintenance and watering. The lemon balm disappears in winter but regrows vigorously each spring.

The ideal sowing period runs from April to September, at a rate of 30 g/m². Sow by broadcasting onto well-prepared, loosened soil, in full sun or partial shade. One kilo of seeds covers 30 to 35 m².

In particularly hot and dry regions, though hardy, this lawn may yellow temporarily in summer without watering, but will green up again once rains return. Thanks to its innovative composition, the Turfline mosquito-repellent lawn offers an effective and eco-friendly solution to combine outdoor comfort with protection against unwanted insects.

Sowing:

Sow directly in place from March to June or in September-October, in well-worked soil, free from weeds, levelled and raked. Broadcast sow on the soil surface then lightly rake to cover the seed. You can roll to ensure good seed-to-soil contact. Water regularly with a fine spray to keep the soil slightly moist until germination, if there is no rain.

Dosage:

Provided: 1 box of 1 kg for 30-35 m²
