Planting and care

Sowing:

Sow directly in place in the sun in well-worked soil, free of weeds, refined and raked. Scatter the seeds on the surface of the soil and then lightly rake to cover the seeds. Optionally, use a roller to ensure the seeds adhere well to the soil. Water regularly with a fine spray to keep the soil slightly moist until germination if it does not rain.

When to overseed? Between March and October, with an optimal period in March, April, September, and October.

Sowing rate: 25 to 30 g/m².

1 kg: covers 30 m² for new lawns or 40 m² for overseeding.

2.5 kg: covers 70 m² for new lawns or 80 m² for overseeding.

Scratch the areas to be treated using a simple hand rake if they are small and few. For larger and more numerous areas, use a scarifier to aerate, loosen, and remove any moss.

  • Rake the soil to remove plant debris and small stones.
  • Prepare a mixture of potting soil and compost.
  • Spread about 1 cm of this mixture over the areas to be repaired.
  • Rake it so that it penetrates the surface of the soil.
  • Level the surface with a roller or a small board.
  • Then sow your overseeding grass.
  • Cover the seeds with a very thin layer of the mixture and then firm well.
  • Water with a very fine spray to avoid displacing the seeds.
