Canary yellow, lemon yellow or even acid yellow, the shades of yellow never fail to amaze us from the beginning of spring when the lack of colour in the garden, due to the dull season, leaves us in a semi-depressive state. Yellow tulips perfectly complement the first yellow flowerings: crocuses and daffodils leading the way. Combine them with blue and white tones, just to soften the yellow which can indeed be sometimes too overpowering in full sun. On the contrary, an association with dark foliage and flowerings creates an unmatched and perfectly contemporary contrast.

Tulips are easy to grow plants and ultimately not very demanding. Bulbs should be planted in autumn, in the sun and in a rather well-drained soil as they fear excessive moisture. However, you can also grow them in potsĀ and create beautiful compositions by combining them with other spring bulbs.
