With the final preparations for Christmas, have you not yet had time to think about your table decoration? Here are our 5 tips and tricks to decorate your tables for Christmas on a budget.

Branches and berries for a successful Christmas decoration Decorative branches and berries from the garden in winter
  1. Berries and branches as a table runner:
The table runner is the centrepiece, where candles, beads, glitter, and other decorative elements come together. Arrange the branches you have on hand: preferably conifers, from Cornus with coloured wood, Euonymus, Holly, Photinias... And insert some colourful berries from holly, Skimmia, Cotoneaster, Pyracantha, or roses.
  2. - A spray paint to work wonders:
Spray some gold or silver paint on the evergreen foliage that you will place here and there on the table to give it a chic touch. Use holly leaves, but also those of Mahonia, Laurustinus, or Bay laurel.
  3. - A gourmet centrepiece to whet your guests' appetites:
Place a candle in a dish or glass container and add some pine cones, along with dried fruits: chestnuts, walnuts, almonds, and sweet chestnuts. To add a fragrant touch, include a few sticks of cinnamon and star anise.
  4. - Ivy leaves and raffia, the duo that always works:
The wooden napkin rings gifted by your great-aunt are not suitable? Wrap your napkins in raffia and attach a few ivy or hellebore leaves for a natural decoration.
  5. - Flowers to brighten and bring life to your table:
How can we talk about flowers at Christmas without mentioning the queen of all flowers, the Christmas Rose? With the mild temperatures of recent weeks, their flowers will be in full bloom just in time for the festivities. Well-suited for vases, their large flowers elegantly adorn tables. Enhance your arrangements with flowers from Mahonia, winter camellia, and Laurustinus.
