We'll have to wait until next summer for them to develop because I mostly got leaves and not many flowers. The color is beautiful.

Description

Echinacea purpurea 'Fatal Attraction' is a variety with magenta pink flowers and a large orange-red heart, appreciated for bouquet arrangements and its medicinal properties.

Originally from the United States, this 70cm (28in) tall perennial forms a dense, hardy and very sturdy clump. The deciduous leaves are opposite, lanceolate and green, with bristly hairs. The reddish, branched stalks terminate in a solitary 10cm (4in) in diameter head, with a bristly, orange-red disk and bright magenta pink ligules. It blooms from July to September.

The perennial Echinacea 'Fatal Attraction', which is melliferous, thrives in fertile, deep, loose, moist and well-drained soil in a sunny location. Mulch the base in May to retain moisture in summer, as it is sensitive to water shortage. Excellent for cutting or drying.

The 'Fatal Attraction' Echinacea is used in mixed flower beds with other floriferous varieties such as lupins. It also pairs well with light grasses such as Stipas and Pennisetums.

Properties: In homeopathy, it is used for colds and to strengthen the immune system.
