Our Range of Ornamental Habit Elms. Ornamental elms, such as Ulmus pendula 'Mauro', carpinifolia 'Pendula', 'Jacqueline Hillier', and 'Camperdownii', are trees valued for their striking silhouettes and elegant foliage. The 'Mauro' elm, with its dense columnar habit, is ideal for structuring the garden. The Ulmus 'Pendula' forms a majestic weeping silhouette, perfect for a romantic touch. The Ulmus 'Jacqueline Hillier', with its compact habit, is suitable for small gardens. Less well-known, the Ulmus glabra 'Camperdownii', displays a peculiar umbrella-like habit, with twisted, pendulous branches clothed in dense foliage.

These elms adapt to various soil types, preferably fertile and well-drained. They appreciate a sunny to partially shaded position and are resistant to urban pollution. Moderate watering and light pruning in winter are sufficient to maintain their harmonious habit. Be mindful of Dutch elm disease, although these varieties often show better resistance.
