It is still time to prune your bushes, but you should not delay and carry out this essential operation for their good flowering in the coming days.

In any case, you must:

1- Cut back the stems in height
2- Remove dead wood and thin out the centre
3- Add manure or a rose fertiliser to nourish the bush

However, there is a crucial difference between old roses – varieties developed before the Second World War – and modern roses.
