This Mixed Meadow Flower Blend for Vegetable Gardens brings together 24 species of perennial or annual plants to create a long-lasting bed that persists for several years. Used by professionals to restore ecological balance and naturally combat pests, it is planted near the vegetable garden. The flowers attract insects like aphids as well as their predators like ladybugs. An effective way to keep unwanted pests out of the vegetable garden. The seeds are sown in spring or late summer, scattered in the sun, in soil that has been cleared of weeds, worked, and loosened. The bed will flower for several years and provide an excellent refuge for biodiversity.
In this blend, you will find plants such as Chrysanthemum leucanthemum, Centaurea cyanus, Ammi majus, and Chrysanthemum segetum. All these plants exhibit relatively fast growth and easily naturalize in the garden, with some self-seeding in ordinary, well-drained soil. They are not demanding in terms of soil, adapting well to ordinary garden soil that is not too dry or waterlogged. The flowering period extends from April to September, starting from the second year of cultivation. One seed box can cover approximately 30 square meters. The height of the plants varies between 40 and 70 cm (16 and 28in).
Meadow flowers are very trendy, and they combine utility with pleasure: they contribute to protecting biodiversity, flower throughout the entire summer season, and require very little maintenance. Watering will be sufficient only if the weather is extremely dry. Invite nature into your garden: sow our flower blends along paths, near the vegetable garden, or on the slope bordering a sunken path, close to your fruit trees, or in the back of the garden at the border with the countryside.

Sowing:
Sow directly in place, from March to early June, once the soil has warmed up, or in September-October, in well-prepared soil, cleared of weeds and raked. Sow finely on the surface of the soil, broadcast, then lightly rake to cover the seeds. Roll or compact the soil with the back of a shovel. Water and keep moist until germination. Alternatively, sow at a depth of 1.5 mm (0in) in furrows spaced 30 cm (12in) apart. Germination normally takes 14 to 30 days.
Cultivation:
When the young plants appear, water well and remove weeds. In autumn, at the end of flowering, you can collect seeds and sow them elsewhere. Water well to make the seeds adhere to the soil.
Once the plants are well established, water your bed only in case of prolonged drought.

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).
