Difficulty

Young plantation

Plant the base of the bulb 15 cm to 20 cm deep, with the collar of the bulb level with the surface, spaced 40 cm to 50 cm apart in well-drained soil, in full sun.

Care

Water regularly and apply fertiliser once a month.

In regions with harsh winters, it is essential to protect the bulbs from frost with a layer of leaf or straw.

Cut back the foliage after the first frosts. Crinum can also be grown in a pot.
