Planting

Plant the base of the bulb at a depth of 15 cm to 20 cm, with the neck of the bulb just below the surface, spaced 40 to 50 cm apart in well-drained soil, in full sun.

Care

Water regularly and apply fertiliser once a month.

In regions with harsh winters, protect the bulbs from frost with a layer of leaves or straw.

Cut back the foliage after the first frosts. Crinum can also be grown in pots.
