The rose 'Château de Cheverny', a fresh and intense fragrance

Highly fragrant and elegant, the ‘Chateau de Cheverny’ rose makes a stunning impression in the garden. This bush bears double cup-shaped flowers in saffron yellow from May to October. The yellow-pink buds develop into globular roses measuring 9 cm, reminiscent of peonies. The initial yellow fades as they bloom to become cream. The flowers fall in a lovely shower of petals, set against medium green glossy foliage. They exude a fresh and intense fragrance, floral and fruity, with hints of vanilla spices and tea.

This rose reaches a height of 1.30 metres and a width of 90 cm at ripeness. It looks beautiful planted in groups of three in a lawn or within a flowerbed or flowering hedge. Pair it with a white rose ‘Fée des neiges‘, campanulas, white gypsophila, and delphiniums. It has received the ADR label, along with several awards, including the Prize from the National Horticultural Society of France.

The rose 'Friesia', with fragrances of iris and patchouli.

If you are charmed by standard roses, try the ‘Friesia’ standard rose with its fragrance blending notes of iris and patchouli! It boasts an early flowering period, starting in May and lasting until October. It produces clusters of golden-yellow flowers that fade over time.

Double and full, they measure 7 cm in diameter and exude a powerful floral scent. They consist of undulating petals, giving them a charmingly tousled appearance, set against initially red foliage that later turns to glossy dark green.

The ‘Friesia’ standard rose has been obtained through grafting onto a vertical stem from another rose (Rosa canina, R. laxa or R. multiflora). It showcases a lovely bushy silhouette of 1 metre, with a trunk ending in clusters of bright roses. To highlight it, place it at the centre of a perennial bed, along a pathway, or in a pot on your terrace. In regions with harsh winters, it is advisable to protect the rootstock from the cold.
