The hardy geraniums charm us with their delicate flowering and ease of cultivation. Although most are deciduous, there are also evergreen varieties. We appreciate their foliage that remains decorative even in the depths of winter. The persistence of leaves often depends on the climate. Many varieties are evergreen in mild climates but lose their leaves if winter is too harsh. This is the case with Geranium macrorrhizum. However, there are also varieties that remain evergreen even in relatively cold climates, such as Geranium cinereum.
