The 'Candlelight' rose, with large golden-yellow blooms

With its lovely turbinate roses and intense fragrance, the rose ‘Candlelight’ is a beautiful bush to plant in the garden. From June to October, it produces 13 cm golden-yellow roses, composed of 50 tightly packed petals forming quarters. The golden-yellow turns to cream-yellow with a salmon touch at the centre. The double flowers resemble old roses and bloom on a lush, healthy, dark green glossy foliage. The fragrance is that of tea roses.

The rose ‘Candlelight’ forms a bush 90 cm high and 50 cm wide. It easily fits into a small bed in full sun or partial shade. You can pair it with grasses, blue or white campanulas. The flowers, borne on sturdy stems in solitary form, make a wonderful cut flower alongside peonies and white lilacs. This rose has been awarded the Gold Medal and Gold Rose in Baden Baden.

The rose 'Michelangelo', a fragrance of spices and honey

The ‘Michelangelo’ rose is full of charm thanks to its mimosa yellow flowers with an old-fashioned style. On medium green foliage veined with dark green, lemon yellow buds appear, opening into flat cups measuring 12 cm in diameter. The flowers are composed of 45 petals and adopt a whole palette of colours, from mimosa yellow to cream yellow, including pale yellow. They emit a honey and spice fragrance that earned them an award in the Netherlands in 2001. This rose, bred by Meilland, produces blooms that last very well in a vase.

Very resilient, the ‘Michelangelo’ rose forms a bush 1.20 metres high and 75 cm wide. Use it to fragrance and brighten your pathways. You can plant it in front of a small boxwood hedge or cypress, alongside white roses like ‘Jardin de Bagatelle’ or orange ones like ‘The Lady Gardener’.

The rose 'Sunny Sky', a fruity fragrance

With its light, fruity fragrance and subtly almost bicoloured yellow roses, the ‘Sunny Sky’ rose boasts beautiful qualities. It is also early, flowering from May to November. The double roses measuring 10 cm transition from apricot to honey yellow, then to straw yellow and finally to cream yellow. Another feature is that they are tinged with pink at the petal edges. Its fruity fragrance exudes notes of lemon, apple, pear, and peach. You can also enjoy its scents in your home as the roses last a long time in a vase.

The ‘Sunny Sky’ rose has a bushy silhouette of 1.20 metres tall and 60 cm wide. It is a Kordes variety, which shows great resistance to diseases and has received the ADR label, a testament to its excellent cultivation qualities. In a garden, pair it with other white or mauve bush roses, as well as with grasses and perennials, such as geraniums, snapdragons, and campanulas.
