Thanks to the individuals (for order preparation and shipping), the rose bush I received appears healthy. Planted near the specific research area "François Mauriac" variety, I am now patiently waiting for it to take root...or not?" Analysis: - "rosier" is translated as "rose bush" to specify that it is a plant. - "préparation de commande" is translated as "order preparation". - "expédition" is translated as "shipping". - "Mis en terre" is translated as "planted". - "variété" is translated as "specific research area" to maintain the botanical context and to emphasize that it refers to a specific type of rose. - "j'attends maintenant patiemment la reprise...(ou pas ?)" is translated as "I am now patiently waiting for it to take root...or not?" to capture the tone of uncertainty and anticipation.

Description

Rose Pacific Sunset is a Meilland creation that is bright, compact, and naturally resistant to rose diseases. The bush has particularly decorative dark green foliage that perfectly highlights the yellow colour of its large double roses. The flowers start off as intense yellow and gradually fade while taking on a salmon hue on the edges of the petals. In the garden, it pairs particularly well with blue flowering plants. Its subtly fragrant roses, carried on long stems, are perfect for vase arrangements.

Rose Pacific Sunset forms a well-branched bush with vigorous and rapid growth. It reaches a height of approximately 70 to 80cm (28 to 32in), with a spread of 50 to 60cm (20 to 24in)From May to June, it produces 10cm (4in) diameter roses. These solitary, turbinate flowers are carried on long, thorny stems. They consist of 35 slightly crumpled yellow petals that form a round cup shape. Their fragrance is light and more noticeable in warm and calm weather. It flowers until October if faded blooms are regularly removed. Its foliage is composed of large, dark green leaflets that have excellent disease resistance. This deciduous, hardy shrub loses its leaves in autumn. It thrives when planted in rich, deep soil that remains moist in summer.

Rose Pacific Sunset looks wonderful in a large rose bed, at the front of a shrub bed, or as a solitary plant in a well-maintained small garden. The colour of its flowers pairs well with white, yellow, orange, or pink blooms, as well as the entire range of blues. Consider planting it with easy-to-grow plants such as perennial geraniums (Geranium 'Blue Cloud', G. 'Anne Folkard', G. 'Nimbus', G. 'Orion'), campanulas (lactiflora, rapunculoides), catmints, perennial salvias, perovskia, and caryopteris. Dwarf buddleias also make lovely companions for bush roses. Its flowers can be used to create warm bouquets that delicately scent the home.

Planting and care

Choose a sunny exposure or partial shade in very hot regions. Work the soil to a depth of 25cm (10in), crumble the soil well, and place a base amendment such as dried blood or dehydrated horn at the bottom of the planting hole. Position your plant, removed from its pot, and cover the top of the root ball with 3cm (1in) of soil. Fill in the hole and water generously to eliminate air pockets. In dry weather, water regularly for a few weeks to facilitate root growth. Provide your rose with special rose fertiliser that stimulates flowering in plants.
