The rose 'Golden Celebration', a golden-copper yellow and a delightful fragrance.
The David Austin English rose ‘Golden Celebration’ produces large golden-copper roses that form beautiful regular rosettes. It flowers from June to October. On medium green foliage, rounded coppery buds appear, then open into large, fully petalled roses measuring 10 cm across, in a golden-yellow hue. Highly fragrant, they emit scents of tea and strawberry, punctuated by fruity and honeyed notes. This intense fragrance has won several awards.
The ‘Golden Celebration’ rose is a bush that reaches a height of 1.20 metres and a width of 1.20 metres. It has a rounded habit, with its branches slightly bending under the weight of the large roses. The only downside is its susceptibility to downy mildew, the black spot disease that affects its leaves and causes them to fall at the end of the season, without disrupting flowering. In the garden, plant it in a bed alongside blue or violet perennials to create a contrast, or even alongside pink ones.
