Rosa Tranquility - English Shrub Rose

The English rose Tranquility lives up to its name. The perfection of its flowers can be summed up as follows: a beautifully rounded shape, countless precisely arranged petals, buds tinted with a hint of yellow, blossoming into pure white. These roses emit a subtle apple fragrance and adorn a bush with a healthy, and vigorous habit.

'Tranquility' is a musk English rose that stands out, like other roses in this group, for the perfection of its 10 cm (4in) diameter flowers, gathered in loose corymbs and produced abundantly from May-June until the frosts. This shrub has an upright growth habit, gradually bending outward at its top, forming a bush with a relaxed habit, 1.25m (4ft) tall and 1m (3ft) wide. It is a very healthy rose, resistant to diseases and with excellent vigour. Its foliage is typical of musk roses: the odd-pinnate leaves have five to seven elliptical-ovate leaflets with toothed edges. They are a bright green colour, shiny on the upper side and cottony on the lower side. Its stems are practically thornless, they are quite resistant and do not require staking. The ovoid fruit is red and hairy.

The English rose Tranquility embodies abundance.  It can be associated, like other English roses, with a bed of flowering shrubs, perennials, or annuals with delicate flowering. It is a reliable choice for the garden and can be integrated into a small hedge or stand out on against the lawn of a small garden. Its roses last a long time, both on the bush and in a vase, in a white that does not fade in rain and sun.
