These traditional Bahco P121-20-F secateurs with attractive, traditional style boast a simple yet practical design and exceptionally robust materials. They feature a narrow cutting head for better access to the stems to be cut and cross-cutting blades made of hardened steel, perfect for pruning live subjects and green, flexible branches up to a diameter of 25 mm (1in)! The profiled pressed steel handles, equipped with a simple clasp, make them easy and comfortable to use. This is a very versatile small pruning tool with compact dimensions, suitable for small to medium-sized hands. Manufactured in France.
Secateurs are an essential tool for every gardener, whether they have to maintain a small balcony, a terrace, a small city garden, a large countryside garden, or an orchard. Cross-cutting secateurs are the most common. They consist of two movable curved blades that slide against each other when the handles of the tool are tightened. They work like a pair of scissors. Unlike anvil secateurs, they provide a clean and neat cut, which does not crush the cut stems. Therefore, they are the most suitable secateurs for cutting green wood and tender branches, as they avoid creating wounds that represent an entry point for diseases and promote proper healing of wounds. The cross-cutting blade design also offers better cutting comfort. This model is designed for gardeners opting for a very sturdy and practical universal pruner.

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).
