Low-maintenance, it is a perfect shade and partial shade plant to brighten up or add a unique splash of colour to a bed under a tree or in a flowering pot. Its foliage comes in many colours. To ignite your shaded borders, the Heuchera ‘Southern Comfort’ is perfect. It features dense, evergreen foliage that showcases peach and apricot hues at first, before turning a coppery orange. From August to October, flower spikes rise above the foliage, adorned with small white bells.

Heuchera ‘Southern Comfort’ forms a lovely and unique groundcover, reaching 30 cm in height and 40 cm in width. Pair its autumnal shades with the light brown of the Heuchera ‘Caramel’ or the light green of the Heuchera ‘Lime Rickey’. You can also combine it with a copper-toned fern like the Dryopteris erythrosora.

Heuchera ‘Southern Comfort’

Heuchera 'Timeless Orange', vibrant hues

With its vibrant orange hues, the heuchera ‘Timeless Orange’ is sure to captivate. Its evergreen foliage provides a varied and colourful display in the garden. Initially pumpkin orange, the leaves transition to olive green tinged with orange, before igniting into a bright red in winter. The undersides of the leaves are purple. To this already rich palette, small orange flowers emerge in June and July on stems rising from the foliage.

The foliage reaches 25 cm in height and 30 cm in spread, forming a compact clump. When planted in groups, the hardy heuchera ‘Timeless Orange’ makes a perfect groundcover for those who love autumn colours. It can be paired with blue forget-me-nots, geraniums, or with bulbs in colours as vibrant as it is.

Heuchera 'Ginger Peach', a changing and serrated foliage

The heuchera ‘Ginger Peach’ stands out with its cut foliage and a ruffled appearance in ever-changing shades of orange. Initially green, the leaves take on various orange hues: peach pink, coral, and copper pink veined with red. The summer colour is copper pink. This vibrant palette is topped with floral stems bearing small white bells in June-July, and sometimes into August. The foliage remains evergreen in a mild winter.

With its beautiful foliage, it forms a carpet-like cushion 25 cm high and 60 cm wide. With its peppy colours, it brings dynamism to the garden and borders. Pair it with light grasses or a small Japanese maple, which also takes on beautiful colours in autumn.

Heuchera 'Caribbean Sea', a beautiful coppery orange

With its coppery orange evergreen foliage, the Heuchera ‘Caribbean Sea’ makes a stunning impact in a border or in a pot. Over the days, marbled silver hues begin to appear. When summer arrives, discreet white flowers bloom on the upright stems in June and July.

The foliage reaches 35 cm in height and 40 cm in width, forming a beautiful groundcover with vibrant colours. For a spectacular effect, you can combine this very decorative Heuchera with other Heucheras of similar colours, such as the Heuchera ‘Caramel’ or ‘Palace Purple’. Alternatively, create contrasts by pairing it with liriopes with purple flowers or ophiopogons.

Heuchera ‘Caribbean Sea’

Heuchera 'Honey Rose', from pink to honey colour

The heuchera ‘Honey Rose’ features evergreen foliage in pink veined with purple, which turns honey-coloured in summer. From this colourful foliage, flowering spikes emerge from June to August, bearing small white bells, creating a lovely contrast of colours.

At maturity, the heuchera ‘Honey Rose’ forms an attractive groundcover with a spreading habit, reaching 35 cm in height and 40 cm in width. It helps create beautiful colourful woodland settings. Pair it for example with tiarellas that offer spikes of white or pink flowers in spring, alongside colourful ferns such as Athyrium niponicum var. pictum ‘Red Beauty’ or Dryopteris erythrosa.

Heuchera 'Mega Caramel', a large colourful groundcover

The heuchera ‘Mega Caramel’ features evergreen foliage, with leaves larger than a hand, about twenty centimetres wide and strongly veined. They display a beautiful range of shades of yellow, apricot, honey, caramel, and pink. The underside of the leaves is pinkish-purple. From July to September, stems adorned with small cream-white flowers appear.

The heuchera ‘Mega Caramel’ forms a wide groundcover at maturity, reaching a height of 70 cm and a width of 90 cm. Pair it with blue flowers such as the giant Hosta ‘Empress Wu’, forget-me-nots, the Corydalis ‘Porcelain Blue’, or the Pulmonaria ‘Blue Ensign’. Complete with colourful ferns and grasses to give a wild look to your border positioned in partial shade. You can also combine it with other heucheras of complementary colours to create a harmonious palette, as well as with spring bulbs.

Heuchera ‘Mega Caramel’

Heuchera 'Little Cutie Blondie', with fruity colours

With its fruity tones, the heuchera ‘Little Cutie Blondie’ creates a lovely effect in a shaded border. Its leaves are evergreen and display a range of colours, from bronze green to rosy caramel. Red flower spikes appear from June to September, bearing small yellow flowers, creating a beautiful colourful tableau.

The heuchera ‘Little Cutie Blondie’ has a compact habit, reaching 15 cm in height and 20 cm in width. In a border, rockery, or pot, it provides a stunning contrast of colours. You can pair it with ferns, grasses, and hostas, as well as bulbs to highlight its lovely colour palette.
