The Spear & Jackson Weed Puller, due to its head firmly fixed by two steel pieces to the wooden handle, is a particularly robust and durable model that will be used for weeding, aerating, and loosening the soil surface to make it suitable for cultivation. This model consists of a long, varnished beech wood handle of 130 cm (51in), sourced from sustainably managed forests (100% PEFC), whose "pommel" end is equipped with a ring for easy storage of the tool. It has a resistant socket where the two-branch head made of steel is attached. The blade of this Spear & Jackson Weed Puller is a low-height rectangle with a sharp edge, which cleanly cuts unwanted weeds at the stem, just at the surface of the soil. Unlike a most hoes, it only penetrates very little into the ground. The user handles this tool by positioning the blade just behind the weed to be eliminated and pulling the tool towards them with a quick motion. The wooden handle is compostable, the metal head is recyclable.

Directions for use The Spear & Jackson weed puller is particularly suitable for weeding gravel surfaces (driveways, petanque courts, pathways). It can also be used for weeding flower beds or the vegetable garden if the soil is light, as its head remains on the surface of the soil without penetrating it. It should be used by pulling the blade towards oneself in a swift motion, which allows for a clean cut of the stem (the base) of the plant to be removed, just at the surface of the soil. Clean your tool after use and store it away from sunlight and bad weather.
