PKS
A hoe that stands out for its powerful and long blade, tapered at its rounded end to easily penetrate substrates. The handle made of ash wood, designed to absorb twists and shocks, is elongated up to 1.30m to prevent back pain and ensure good ergonomics during use. Its long flat head, measuring 22 x 12cm (5in), is ideal for aerating even heavy and consistent soils quickly and efficiently without disturbing the deeper layers. Use this tool to dig irrigation trenches, mound your vegetable crops, and till the soil without turning it over. The bronze and copper head will deposit micro particles in the soil over time, contributing to its amendment with this natural soil component.

The Tuza copper hoe from the PKS Bronze range, the namesake brand of the famous Austrian naturalist and ecologist, is a tool equipped with a flat and elongated head, sharpened at its rounded end, and a long 130cm (51in) wooden handle that provides great ergonomic working conditions. Its 22cm (9in) long and 12cm (5in) wide head, made of a copper and bronze alloy, is fitted with a crozier to its handle to facilitate soil cultivation. Use this powerful but heavy hoe to aerate the soil, hill up crops such as beans and potatoes, dig furrows, and cut through the strongest of roots. The copper alloy head, which deposits micro-particles into the soil over time, contributes to its natural enrichment. This high-quality hoe is suitable for heavy-duty work in the garden. 2-year warranty.

Dimensions: Blade: 22cm (9in) x 12cm (5in) - Weight: 2.5kg - Handle length: 130cm (51in)

The hoe is a basic tool designed both for weeding without the use of chemicals and for surface soil cultivation. Its heavy and long head is specifically designed to break up the surface and deeply penetrate even compact and heavy soils, thanks to its tapered blade at the rounded end. Closer to a pickaxe than a hoe, it allows for crumbling and loosening the top layer of soil after digging, uprooting unwanted plants, hilling up vegetables by forming mounds around their base, as well as digging shallow planting holes and furrows. Like a hoe, it serves to loosen and aerate the top layer of soil, ensuring that the soil around cultivated plants in the vegetable garden or ornamental garden remains well-aerated. It also helps prevent the formation of a compacted layer that occurs due to watering or rain in clayey or loamy soils. This hard and compact layer, which is very difficult to rehydrate and suffocating for plants, also promotes the rise of water to the surface and its evaporation. Working the surface soil after watering limits water evaporation. Its large dimensions and weight make it a perfect tool for quickly working the surface soil and breaking up clumps.

PKS Bronze is an Austrian company specializing in the production of traditional tools made of copper alloy. Copper tools are durable, rust-resistant, and last a lifetime. They also have the advantage of not dulling, so there is no need to sharpen them. Furthermore, they have an elegant appearance, as copper brings a noble and silky aspect. Copper tools, with their exceptional longevity, are faithful companions to their owners for decades.

Directions for use The hoe is an essential tool, closer to a pickaxe than a hoe. It is designed both for weeding the vegetable garden or ornamental garden without the use of chemical products and for working the soil on the surface. After digging, the gardener uses the hoe to loosen, aerate and refine the superficial layer of soil, dig shallow planting holes or furrows. The hoe allows for easy removal of unwanted plants, but also for hilling vegetables, i.e. gathering the soil into a mound at the base of the plants. Clean your tool after use and store it away from bad weather. This Tuza model is specially designed for heavy-duty work.
