Directions for use This electrolysed-steel nurseryman's spade is a garden tool designed to dig into any type of soil deeply and cut through roots cleanly. It is perfect for creating narrow and deep planting holes, digging trenches, and making post holes. This handheld tool is also used for uprooting trees and bushes, as its narrow and long blade can reach deep roots. The ferrule that encloses the handle is reinforced for added strength. We recommend cleaning it with a hard brush after each use and storing it in a dry place. Once a year, you can sand the handle with fine sandpaper and oil it with a mixture of linseed oil and turpentine for easier application. Dilute half and half, and for faster drying of the handle, use boiled linseed oil.
