A professional-grade spade that is particularly sturdy. It is designed for intensive work. Its blade is hand-forged from electrolysed steel and its handle is made of steel. It is a robust and powerful tool made to tackle all heavy-duty tasks.

This heavy-duty Gschwind spade is made of hand-forged electrolysed steel, equipped with a 40mm (2in) diameter steel handle. It is a powerful garden tool of excellent quality that will satisfy demanding gardeners, both amateurs and professionals alike. This spade is extremely strong, but a little heavy. It is perfect for heavy-duty work.

 

This model is composed of a steel handle that cannot twist or break. It has an imposing blade to tackle all heavy-duty work.

Directions for use Spades are indispensable tools, designed to lift, turn, loosen and crumble the soil deeply. Fertiliser (decomposed compost, organic fertiliser, horse manure) can be incorporated into the soil while it is being turned. We recommend cleaning it with a hard brush after each use and storing it away from moisture. Once a year, sand the handle with fine sandpaper and oil it with a mixture of linseed oil and turpentine for easier application. Dilute half and half. Use boiled linseed oil for faster drying.
