Very, very dissatisfied. The goods arrived in a sorry state, with more than half of the fertiliser missing.

This complete fertiliser, enriched with trace elements and magnesium, is a highly concentrated and highly soluble mineral fertiliser of professional quality. It is suitable for cultivating geraniums and other flowering or bedding plants, citrus trees, as well as vegetable plants. It prevents deficiencies, promotes healthy growth of the vegetation, and promises abundant flowering and harvests. It comes in the form of granules to be dissolved in watering water. Packaged in a 1 kg bucket with a measuring spoon.

Compo Expert's 'Algospeed' soluble fertiliser for geraniums, flowering plants, citrus trees and vegetable crops is a high-quality, versatile professional-grade mineral fertiliser, made available to amateur gardeners. Its exclusive formula, enriched with magnesium and trace elements, is both complete, highly concentrated and highly soluble in irrigation water. It promotes healthy vegetative growth, and its richness in potassium allows for abundant, colourful flowering and beautiful, tasty harvests. Use it to fertilise your geraniums, petunias and other flowering plants, your citrus trees, fruit vegetables such as tomatoes and courgettes, or even your orchids. With an excellent price/quality ratio, the 1 kg bucket allows you to prepare 1000 litres of nutrient solution.

This fertiliser does not come from organic matter derived from living organisms, but from inert mineral matter such as certain rocks. Containing no urea, sodium or chloride, which are harmful to plants, this product, very well tolerated by vegetation, is recognised by all horticultural professionals for its quality and solubility. Its formulation is: NPK 10 - 5 - 27 +5 trace elements. This means it is composed of:

  • Nitrogen (N) at 10%: this element contributes to the development of the non-reproductive aerial parts of the plant, particularly the leaves and stems.
  • Phosphorus (P) at 5%, which strengthens plant resistance and contributes to root development.
  • Potassium (K) at 25%: essential for good harvests, it helps promote flowering and fruit development.
  • Magnesium or magnesium oxide (MgO), which promotes the assimilation of nitrogen, phosphorus and sulphur. This element also helps to intensify the colour of flowers and foliage, as well as the taste quality of fruits and vegetables.
  • Calcium in its CaO form
  • Water-soluble trace elements: Boron (B), Copper (Cu), Iron (Fe), Manganese (Mn), Molybdenum (Mo) and Zinc (Zn). All are chelated by EDTA and EDDHA, making them highly available to plant roots.

Uses: from March to October, in irrigation water.

To live and multiply, plants need water, around twenty nutrients which they find in mineral form in the soil, carbon dioxide (CO2) present in the air, and solar energy essential for photosynthesis. The basic elements, called macronutrients, are nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K). They must be present in the soil in significant quantities. The secondary elements, less predominant but nevertheless essential, are calcium (Ca), sulphur (S), magnesium (Mg). Finally, the trace elements, necessary in very small quantities, are represented by iron (Fe), manganese (Mn), molybdenum (Mo), copper (Cu), boron (B), zinc (Zn), chlorine (Cl), sodium (Na), cobalt (Co), vanadium (V) and silicon (Si). The role of a fertiliser is to compensate for soil deficiencies and to provide, through optimal dosage, the elements that promote either vegetative growth, or flowering and fruit production, or the development of roots, bulbs and tubers.
