In our range of soft fruit plug plants, you will mainly find strawberry plants in an economical format, to be potted on before planting out in the garden. This packaging is suitable for gardeners who wish to create a well-stocked vegetable patch or a large, productive border. These are very young plants that need a little extra care to get started.
Among the varieties offered, the 'Mara des Bois' strawberry produces fragrant fruit over a long period, 'Charlotte' allows for staggered harvests, while 'Mariguette' offers good yields, exceptional wild strawberry fragrance, early fruiting and high productivity. 'Ciflorette' produces elongated, sweet fruit, and Fragaria vesca 'Alexandria', a wild strawberry, finds its place in more natural plantings.
Pot on your plug plants into small pots using a free-draining compost, water regularly but not excessively while they establish roots, then transplant them into the ground or into containers when the plants are sufficiently developed. This format requires more attention regarding cold, lack of water and the appetite of slugs.
