The Stop Bamboo Anti-Root Felt helps to limit the invasion of bamboo rhizomes or guide the roots of trees. This anti-root and rhizome barrier protects other plantations, walls, ducts, constructions, terraces... It is lightweight, flexible, and rigid, making it easy to install and has a good lifespan.

This Stop Bamboo Rhizome Barrier STOP-R helps to limit the invasion of running bamboo rhizomes and guide tree roots. Flexible, rigid, and lightweight, this geotextile is an effective and easy-to-install barrier. It protects your other plantings as well as pipes, cables, foundations, paving, ornamental ponds, swimming pools etc.

Designed to contain the invasion of bamboo rhizomes or wandering roots that can become invasive, this anti-rhizome barrier is also suitable for guiding roots to the desired location. Its length is particularly suitable for creating bamboo plantings. The black STOP-R felt is made of isotactic polypropylene (or PP), with a density of 275 g/m². It is flexible enough to conform to the shape you want for your barrier, but rigid enough to stay in place during installation. Resistant to heat and moisture, it will remain in place for several years. This dense physical barrier guides rhizomes and roots to the surface of the soil within the defined area: any rhizome encountering this obstacle will change its growth direction upwards. Once they emerge, these 'unwanted' rhizomes must be pruned and removed to prevent them from crossing the barrier.

Installing an anti-rhizome barrier:

- Dig a planting hole deep enough (65-70 cm (26-28in)) or a trench of equivalent depth to position the barrier.

- Bury the barrier at a 15° angle relative to the vertical, leaving it protruding 5 to 10 cm (2 to 4in) above the surface of the soil.

- Do not place a barrier in the bottom of the planting area.

- Securely attach the two edges of the formed circle so that roots and rhizomes cannot infiltrate even the smallest space.

- Add some soil outside of this barrier for aesthetic reasons, to hide the part that emerges from the ground.
