Made in France Organic farming
These sturdy round pots are made from plant fibre. They are 100% natural and biodegradable. You can sow or transplant all your plants in them, then place them directly in a larger pot or in the garden soil, where the pots will decompose. These pots protect fragile roots from unnecessary handling when planting, thus helping the plant to grow quickly, evenly, and without obstruction. A professional product for all gardeners, suitable for organic agriculture.

These FERTILPOT round pots are highly recommended by horticulture and market gardening professionals. Designed exclusively from 100% natural plant fibres, they provide an excellent alternative to traditional plastic pots as they are completely biodegradable and free from any additives or chemical residues. They are permeable to water, air, and plant roots, and are strong enough to withstand handling. You can sow or transplant all your flowers, vegetables, trees, and bushes in them, and then transplant them into a larger pot or directly into the garden without disturbing the fragile young roots of your plants. A clever and environmentally friendly product.

These FERTILPOT pots are made from peat that does not come from sensitive ecological areas and branch fibres obtained from forest maintenance (thinning). Their wall has a dense and porous mesh that allows roots to penetrate easily, ensuring good water retention and excellent aeration of the growing medium. These factors are essential for seed germination and the healthy growth of young seedlings. The roots stop growing in length as soon as they pass through the pot wall, then they begin to branch out and eventually create a significant and uniform root hair system that colonises the entire growing medium and provides better nourishment for the plant. The roots remain intact during transplanting, becoming immediately operational and preventing the plants from experiencing post-transplant shock. The wood fibre gradually decomposes naturally, along with the growing medium, completely disappearing once in the soil.

While roots tend to grow in a spiral and become tangled in a small plastic pot with an impassable wall, they can easily pass through the wood fibre wall of FERTILPOTS. This will be a sign that it is time to transplant the young plants into a larger pot or plant them outdoors. It is important to note that while root binding is almost non-existent or has no major impact on herbaceous plants (perennials, vegetables, annuals, and biennials), it can be detrimental to the establishment of many shrubs and trees, especially in challenging soil and climate conditions.

Environmentally conscious gardeners will love these pots. Plastic pots are often non-recyclable plastic pots, which will eventually pose an environmental problem. FERTILPOTS meet environmental standards and can be added to compost without any risk.

FERTILPOTS are available in different sizes and shapes and are sold in sets. FERTILPOTS can be used in most trays available on the market.

Detailed features

Directions for use Fill your FERTILPOTS with a suitable growing medium, such as special seed compost or potting compost. To sow: sow your seeds following the instructions for each plant, then water lightly. To transplant: place your seedling in the centre of the wooden fibre pot, then water lightly. You can easily do this in two steps: sow in a small 6cm (2in) pot, then transplant into another larger FERTILPOT (8cm (3in) or more in diameter) before planting it permanently in the ground. Dig a planting hole at least twice as large and deep as the wooden fibre pot, then simply place the pot with its seedling in the hole. Fill with a suitable plant substrate (compost, mixture of soil and compost). Water to compact the soil around the roots.
