Organic Growing Pots - 60 cell biodegradable tray 5 x 5cm (2in)

Be the first to leave a review
This very easy-to-use, biodegradable tray made of wood fibre is divided into 60 square growing cells, each measuring 5 cm (2in) on each side, all in one piece. You can sow your flowers and vegetables in it, then separate the pots from each other and place them directly in the garden soil, where they will decompose. This clever and ecological cultivation technique avoids handling the fragile roots of young plants while allowing them to grow unhindered.

This large Growing Pots growing tray, made of wood fibres, is an excellent alternative to plastic growing trays and seedling pots: it is 100% biodegradable, the growth cells are water-permeable, and allow air and plant roots to pass through. You can sow or transplant your flowers and vegetables in it then separate each individual growing pot and place it directly in the garden soil without disturbing the plant roots. It's a practical, clever, and environmentally friendly product!

Made from peat and wood fibres from French forests, this brown growing tray consists of 60 square-shaped growth cells, each measuring 5 cm (2in) on all sides, as one single unit. This makes it easy to set up, sow, handle, care for, and water. The biodegradable plant-based growing pots offer numerous advantages: their walls have a dense and porous mesh, allowing easy root penetration and ensuring good water retention and excellent substrate aeration. These are essential factors for seed germination and healthy seedling growth. In addition, the roots remain intact when transplanting, preventing plants from experiencing post-transplant shock. The wood fibre will gradually decompose along with the substrate, completely disappearing once in the soil. With its many growth cells, this tray is perfect for gardeners who want to grow their own vegetables!

Finally, environmentally conscious gardeners will find a sustainable solution in wood fibre pots and growing trays to replace their often non-recyclable plastic equivalents, which pose an ongoing environmental problem. The Growing Pots range of products complies with environmental standards and can be added to compost without any risk.

Growing Pots are available in different sizes and shapes.

Detailed features

Directions for use Place your tray on a suitable support: table, shelf... Fill each of the growing cells with seed compost (or potting compost as appropriate). Sow your seeds following the instructions for each plant, and water with a fine spray. Once the seedlings are well developed, you can easily separate each cell using a knife to transplant them individually into a larger pot or directly into the open ground. No need to remove the plant from its pot: dig a planting hole at least twice as wide and deep as the fibre pot, then simply place the pot with its seedling in it. Fill with a substrate suitable for the plant (compost, mixture of soil and compost...) Water to compact the soil around the roots.
