Sturdy, yes. But very inconvenient for retrieving the plans. You have to shake and overturn it. In short, not at all suitable in my opinion.

This black plastic culture tray, composed of 54 small culture cells, is very convenient for sowing flowers and vegetables. Well maintained, it can be reused for at least five years. Store it away from light after use. Watering can be done using a watering can with a spray nozzle or by capillary action, such as placing a piece of carpet under the culture tray that will be regularly moistened.

This reusable 54-hole seedling tray (volume 0.063 litres) from Soparco is designed for amateur and professional gardeners. Made of sturdy black plastic, it features 54 small growing cells in which it will be easy to sow or transplant very young plants. You can sow your flowers and vegetables in them and store them in a bright and heated place. Once the seedlings are sufficiently developed, gently remove them from their cell and transplant them into a pot or garden soil. You can reuse this seedling tray for at least five years with proper care. Store it away from light after use.

The growing tray measures 50 cm (20in) long by 33 cm (13in) wide and 6.1 cm (2in) high. It is made of black, matte plastic material that is rigid enough to handle easily. It has 54 round-based growing cells with a drainage hole measuring 6.1 cm (2in) in height and 4.4 cm (2in) in diameter at the base. It is a single piece which facilitates filling the cells with potting soil, placement, sowing, handling, care, watering, and transplanting. Watering can be done using a watering can with a fine spray or through capillary action, for example, by placing a piece of carpet that can be moistened under the seedling tray. This way, the plant will be protected from excessive watering and benefit from a regular water supply with a consistently moist substrate.

This model is available in different sizes. From the 15-hole tray with 8cm (3in) cells to the 260-hole tray with 2.2cm (1in) cells to meet every gardener's needs. Directions for use Place your sowing tray on a suitable surface: table, shelf, etc. Fill each of the growing cells with special sowing compost. Sow your seeds according to the instructions for each plant, watering lightly. Store in a light, heated room. Make sure the potting soil is always slightly moist but not soggy. Watering can be done by capillary action, for example by placing a piece of carpet that you can moisten under the seedbed. In this way, the plant will be protected from over-aggressive watering but will also benefit from a regular supply of water and a substrate that will always be moist. You'll also find a 2cm high saucer suitable for all Soparco reusable seed trays to keep the substrate moist for a long time—reference: XIOA0001 (Saucer for recoverable seedling tray). Once the seedlings are well developed, carefully remove them from each culture cell to repot them individually in a larger pot or plant them directly in the ground. Fill in with a substrate suited to the plant (potting soil, mix of soil and potting soil, etc.) Water to pack the soil well around the roots. The seed tray can be reused. Store it in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
