This mulching disc is made from 600g/m² wool fibres that are 100% natural and biodegradable. It will decompose in approximately 4 years. The disc provides effective protection against cold, limits watering water evaporation, and slows down the growth of weeds. The disc is pre-cut. It can be positioned at the base of plants, both in the ground and in pots. Suitable for organic farming.

This Wool Mulching Disc is a device made from 100% natural materials, manufactured in France. It provides effective and natural protection for young plants and bushes against cold weather in winter. It also slows down the evaporation of water in summer, and limits the growth of weeds that compete with their roots and hinder their growth. It is a 100% biodegradable product that decomposes into humus in about four years. Equipped with a slit, it can be easily positioned at the base of plantings, both in open ground and in pots.

The non-woven wool mulching disc is made from short fibres of sheep wool. It contains no harmful substances as the wool is untreated, and it will easily disintegrate and be "digested" by the decomposing organisms in the soil (bacteria, fungi, insects, yeasts) which transform it into humus rich in organic matter and nutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, trace elements). This addition of organic matter also improves the physical structure of the soil and promotes its biological activity. Wool can retain 30% of its weight in water without being wet, which slows down the evaporation of water in the soil and retains moisture in the air, allowing the soil to retain its freshness and reduce watering. Wool, being an excellent insulating fibre, protects the soil from wind and temperature fluctuations. With its shading power, the mulching felt inhibits the germination of unwanted plants and hinders their growth. Finally, when used on flat or sloping terrain, mulching helps retain the soil and limit erosion caused by rain and wind.
