A flexible and elastic elastomer support collar, which can be quickly and easily installed. It is positioned in such a way as to form an 8, with one loop encircling the tree trunk and the other loop around the support, in order to prevent friction and the risk of injuries to the bark.

The Elasto plant ties, made of elastomer, is both flexible and strong. It is quickly and easily applied thanks to a notched fixing system, forming an "8": one loop surrounds the tree trunk and the other the support stake, avoiding friction and the risk of injury to the bark. This model is suitable for supporting young trees with a trunk diameter of no more than 2 cm (1in).

Supporting trees is essential when they have recently been planted in exposed sites with strong winds and/or very loose sandy or loamy soils. On one hand, their root system is not yet sufficiently developed to ensure proper anchoring in the soil, and on the other hand, the aboveground vegetation, often disproportionate to the root system, offers significant wind resistance. The support stake is generally installed at the time of planting, facing the prevailing wind. The support collars remain in place for a minimum of 2 or 3 years, a necessary period for the consolidation of the root system. It is important to regularly check that they do not strangle the trunk. Loosen them if possible to adjust their size, or replace them with wider ties.

Instructions, installation:

Plant a sturdy support stake (made of bamboo, metal or chestnut) at the same time as the tree, close to its trunk, facing the prevailing wind. First, wrap the smooth portion of the collar around the trunk. Close the loop by passing the notched side through the rectangular perforation provided for this purpose (the second one from the end of the collar, oriented vertically). In a second step, form a loop around the support stake. Close it by passing the notched portion through the hole at the end of the collar, which is oriented horizontally.
