Very well. The advantage with the zip is that it allows for the plant to be ventilated during the day when it is not too cold.

A set of 2 large 50 g/m² winter veil covers that protect plants from the cold and wind but allow light to pass through to keep the plants alive. Easy to set up, it can be opened and closed effortlessly thanks to a zip and drawstring located at its base. This protective cover is treated with anti-UV protection and can be reused for several winters. The Hiverzip cover is particularly suitable for large plants grown in pots outdoors.

A set of 2 large HIVERZIP covers, made from a thick winter veil that effectively protects plants from cold, hail, and wind while allowing light, air, and water to pass through. Easy to install, it can be easily opened and closed thanks to a zip and drawstring located at its base. Durable, efficient, and practical, the Hiverzip cover is particularly suitable for large exotic or delicate plants grown in pots outdoors, or even in open ground.

This non-woven polypropylene winter cover with a density of 50 g/m², thicker than the standard quality of 30 g/m², provides very good thermal insulation while allowing light to filter through. It has an appearance and flexibility reminiscent of a thick white honeycomb fabric, but it is a non-biodegradable material that has been treated to withstand UV rays from the sun for several winters. It acts as a barrier to bad weather and creates a favourable microclimate by retaining the heat accumulated during the day around the plant. Due to its large size and the presence of the zip that allows for a wide opening, the Hiverzip cover is easily placed on the plant by covering it. This easy opening/closing also allows for ventilation or watering of the plant at the best times of the day. Once in place, it is easy to tighten it at the base of the plant using the provided drawstring. The permeable texture of this winter veil ensures good air circulation, which limits the accumulation of moisture produced by evergreen foliage that continues to breathe in winter. Rainwater also partially infiltrates to the plant, thus avoiding excessive drying of the air and growing substrate for potted plants. Polypropylene is a material that is largely made from recycling other products.

Directions for use This non-woven polypropylene winter cover provides excellent winter protection for large deciduous and even evergreen plants, grown in pots outdoors or even in the ground. It can be easily set up on the plant from autumn onwards: simply open it at the zip, wrap it around the plant, and then close the cover with the same zip. Once the plant is covered, tighten the base of the cover using the cord provided. If the cover is slightly too short to cover the pot, also consider protecting it with bubble wrap or a winter fleece arranged in multiple layers; this will insulate the roots from the cold. You can ventilate it on sunny days, when it is not freezing, and then close the cover before the temperatures drop. Watering is sometimes necessary in winter, especially for evergreen or mild-climate plants: always water in mild weather, preferably in the middle of the day, at the base of the plants. This UV-treated cover can be reused for several seasons.
