A set of 2 large winter covers, made of a thick winter fleece that effectively protects plants from cold and wind, but allows light, air, and water to pass through. It is easy to set up and opens and closes at will thanks to a long self-gripping tape and the drawstring at its base. Durable, efficient, and practical, the Hiverscratch winter cover is particularly suitable for cold-sensitive or exotic shrubs and large plants grown in the ground or in pots. This non-woven polypropylene winter cover with a density of 50g/m², thicker than the standard quality of 30g/m², provides very good thermal insulation while allowing light to filter through. It has the appearance and flexibility of a thick white honeycomb fabric, but it is a non-biodegradable material that has been treated to withstand the UV rays of the sun for several winters. It acts as a barrier against bad weather and creates a favourable microclimate by retaining the heat accumulated during the day around the plant. Due to its large size and wide opening, but especially thanks to the Velcro tape that allows it to be opened flat, the Hiverscratch cover is easy to install on the plant. This easy opening/closing also allows for ventilation or watering of the plant at the best times of the day. Once in place, it will be easy to tighten it at the base of the plant using the provided drawstring. The permeable texture of this winter veil ensures good air circulation, which limits the accumulation of moisture produced by evergreen foliage that continues to breathe in winter. The humidity in the air as well as rainwater can partially penetrate to the plant, thus avoiding the drying out of the atmosphere in which the plants are immersed. Polypropylene is a material that is largely recycled from other products.
