Thanks to the individuals (for order preparation & shipping service), the received rose bush is small but appears healthy to me. Planted close to the 'Borneo Odore' variety, I am now waiting for it to take root... or not? Note: received without the variety label (which is essential for identifying the rose bush in all seasons).

The 'Eisvogel' bush rose possesses the nostalgic charm of old roses; it blooms repeatedly throughout the season but stands out with the rare colour of its roses and their exceptional exotic fragrance. These are large flowers that open up with a flurry of mauve petals, lilac pink, and pale old rose, with a beautiful coppery pink glow in the centre. The floribundity of the bush and its old-fashioned charm speak to the heart of rose enthusiasts who will forgive it for being somewhat susceptible to diseases if the growing conditions are not optimal. Invite it into a romantic flowerbed or make sumptuous bouquets with its roses! Â
This English-type bush rose is a creation of German rosarian Tantau dating back to 2016. It will form a small, bushy, and upright shrub, reaching an average height of 1.20 m (4ft) with a width of 80 cm (32in). Its growth is rapid, and its thorny stems are covered with dark green foliage divided into toothed leaflets. This foliage is deciduous; it falls in autumn. The flowers bloom in successive waves between June and October in this repeat-flowering variety. They are of medium-large size (11 cm (4in)), rounded, very double, composed of more than 50 petals. In this rose, the flowering takes the form of corymbs, such as bouquets with several flowers. Their scent is powerful, fruity and sweet and will be more noticeable in calm and warm weather. 'Eisvogel' is the German name for the kingfisher, the bird famous for its brilliantly coloured plumage.
The 'Eisvogel' rose fits well in a small flowerbed alongside blue, white, or pink flowers. Combine it with annual delphiniums, perennial flax, lavender, or white foxgloves. It will also add a romantic touch to perennial flowerbeds and large borders. Roses pair perfectly with catmints, lavender, bellflowers, paniculate baby's breath, and herbaceous or climbing clematis with compact growth. Finally, you can plant it in front of taller shrubs or roses or use it to fill the base of a small tree, which it will adorn with great charm.

Botanical data
To ensure good growth of your Eisvogel Rose, plant it in a spot that receives plenty of sunlight or light shade. While bed roses are quite tolerant, they are not fond of soils with too much limestone or acidity. Nevertheless, they can adapt to any garden if the soil is well-prepared and nutrient-rich. When planting your rose, work the soil by crumbling it and add an amendment such as blood, fish, and bone to the bottom of the planting hole. After planting, water generously to remove any air pockets and facilitate rooting. For the next few weeks, water regularly to promote healthy growth.
Pruning climbing roses is essential for their flowering. At the end of winter, it is necessary to shorten the branches to 3-5 buds above the ground, preferably at the lowest point. Choose an outward-facing bud for a more elegant habit. This pruning process should be used to remove dead wood and unsightly branches. While pruning, cut at an angle above a bud. When the flowers bloom, make sure to remove the faded flowers. This will stimulate the development of other buds.
Roses may develop unsightly spots at the end of summer, but this is a natural occurrence and doesn't harm the rose's growth.

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).
