The 'Creme Flag' Triumph Tulip is a variety with narrow cup-shaped flowers on sturdy stems of a delicious, light, cream-yellow colour with a hint of pink. it subtly offers a softer contrast than white and pairs beautifully with spring bulbs with yellow or blue flowers. It is a mid-season tulip, with a classic shape, carried on a medium-sized stem that withstands wind and rain well. Whether in a vase or in a border, it is an elegant and refined variety.
The 'Creme Flag' Triumph Tulip belongs to the Liliaceae family. Of horticultural origin, it is currently classified in the 'Triumph' group, whose main characteristic is to have narrow cup-shaped flowers. Tulips in this group are the result of cross-breeding between early single tulips and late single tulips, flowering just after the early ones. Perched on 45 cm tall stems, above the widely lanceolate green-blue leaves, the large flowers of this tulip have 6 "petals", or more precisely thick tepals, irregularly flamed with pink or green tones on a cream-yellow background. These elegant and understated, narrow cups measure about 6 cm in diameter. The flowering of this variety takes place around mid-April, in the heart of the tulip season. The foliage dries up and disappears a few weeks after flowering, when the bulb enters its dormant phase.
The 'Creme Flag' tulip finds a place in large borders, edges, and containers before adorning vases. In the garden, it pairs well with simple flowers such as bluebells, grape hyacinths and white or yellow tulips. This also maximizes the duration of flowering in borders. Combine it with daffodils, lady's mantle, or even hellebores and euphorbias to create stunning compositions. To enhance the shade of 'Creme Flag', pair it with blue or pink flowers such as forget-me-nots, spring starflowers, or Muscari comosum 'Plumosum'. In a vase, use very little water, just a little at the bottom is enough! Furthermore, if your tulips open too quickly, you can add two to three ice cubes to the vase each day.

Botanical data
Place Creme Flag tulips in a sunny or partially shaded spot from late September to December for spring flowering. Plant the bulbs in well-drained and deeply loosened soil at a depth of 15 cm, 10 cm apart without touching each other to create a mass effect that will give a more decorative appearance. Their care is very easy. Simply water regularly, especially during dry winters, and cut the flower stalks after flowering. Allow the leaves to completely dry before cutting them.

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).
