Earlier than I thought. I scattered them in groups of 2 or 3 at the edge of perennial borders at the beginning of the growing season: they brighten up the garden, it's very successful. Will they naturalize to still be beautiful next year??? " Analysis: - "vivaces" is translated as "perennial" to refer to perennial borders. - "éparpillées" is translated as "scattered". - "bordure de massifs de vivaces" is translated as "edge of perennial borders". - "début de végétation" is translated as "beginning of the growing season". - "elles éclairent le jardin" is translated as "they brighten up the garden". - "Vont-elles se naturaliser" is translated as "Will they naturalize". - "pour être encore belles l'an prochain" is translated as "to still be beautiful next year". Please note that the translation may vary depending on the context and intended meaning.

Description

The Triumph Tulip 'Beau Monde' is interesting for its delicate and very charming color. This majestic tulip with a narrow corolla offers pale pink petals edged with white on top of thick and sturdy stems that are 45cm (18in) tall above the broadly lanceolate green and deciduous leaves. It blooms in the middle of the tulip season, in April, in the heart of spring.

The Triumph Tulip 'Beau Monde' belongs to the family of Liliaceae. Of horticultural origin, it is currently classified in the group of 'Triumph', whose main characteristic is to have flowers with a narrow cup shape. They are the result of a cross-breeding between early single tulips and Darwin tulips. With a wide range of colors, solid and resistant flowers, suitable for both flower beds and bouquets, the fame of the triumph tulips is well established. They are already among the most planted varieties.

Unmatched for bringing the colour of spring to pots or sunny gardens, don't forget to consider the height and flowering period when designing your flower beds, as these parameters vary significantly from one cultivar to another. It is wise to plant a few more bulbs for cutting, as they make beautiful cut flowers that last a long time in a vase.

Tulip species are found in most parts of the old world, from Western Europe to China and Japan, through Eastern Europe, Asia Minor, and Central Asia. Their distribution area also includes North Africa and the Indian subcontinent. The centre of diversity for the genus is located in the Pamir and Hindu Kush mountains, as well as the steppes of Kazakhstan.

Planting and care

Plant the bulbs in autumn, from September to December, at a depth of 15cm (6in), spacing them 10cm (4in) apart. The planting should be done in ordinary soil, slightly acidic, neutral, or slightly chalky, loose, well-worked, and well-draining. Never add poorly decomposed manure or compost to the planting soil, as this could cause the bulbs to rot. The triumph tulip will grow well in moist to dry soil. Plant it in a sunny or semi-shaded location. After flowering, their foliage becomes unsightly. We recommend planting Heucheras, Tiarelles, Brunneras, Bleeding Hearts, Cypress Spurge, at the forefront of your flower beds. Their foliage will enhance the colours of your tulips, and throughout the season, they will elegantly cover up the yellowed leaves.
