Applying glue around the trunk of trees, or at the base of the main branches, creates a physical barrier that traps or prevents the ascent of creeping insects such as earwigs, caterpillars, and ants into the aerial parts of the plant. This ready-to-use 200 ml aerosol tree glue is easy to apply.

Solabiol's ready-to-use tree glue aerosol is a natural and convenient product for using a traditional method designed to protect the upper parts of ornamental trees and shrubs from creeping insects. Sprayed around the tree trunk, or at the base of the main branches, this glue creates a sticky physical barrier that traps or prevents the ascent of insects such as earwigs, caterpillars, ants, and certain aphids. Its effectiveness is estimated to be around 6 weeks.

To protect ornamental trees and shrubs from damage caused by certain creeping pests, applying tree glue based on natural ingredients is an effective, simple, and environmentally friendly preventive solution. By sticking to the glue as they pass, insects cannot access the leaves, flowers, or fruits. Spray the tree glue directly onto the trunk or at the base of the largest branches. Keep the soil weeded at the foot of the trees, and mow the grass to avoid giving creeping insects passage areas. Reapply in case of saturation by flying insects or loss of effectiveness due to the presence of dust. Solabiol tree glue is particularly suitable for ornamental trees and shrubs.

  • Vigorously shake the aerosol for about ten seconds to homogenise the contents well.
  • Spray from about thirty centimetres away from the trunk using short bursts, avoiding prolonged spraying.
  • Form a band of glue approximately 10 cm wide around the entire circumference of the trunk at about 1 metre from the ground, carefully avoiding the graft union.
  • During the first application of glue for the season, it is preferable to proceed with two passes 24 hours apart to obtain good protection.

USAGE PRECAUTIONS
On certain sensitive trees (citrus trees, Fig trees, etc.) and on young trees (<2 years), direct application to the trunk may present risks of bark necrosis. To avoid this, cover the desired application area with cling film before applying the glue. Do not reapply the following year on the same area of the trunk. Once the glue is applied, do not summer prune the tree. Bird protection: avoid applying the glue on horizontal branches to avoid trapping insectivorous birds.
