2nd order I place with you. The delivery is simply a DISASTER. 1st order, additional fast delivery... Chronopost indicates a labelling error... delivery deadlines not met and package in a very very bad condition, luckily the plant was not damaged. I try again for a 2nd order... without additional delivery charge... same labelling issue and back and forth in the warehouses. I believe the plants left your place in good condition. Unfortunately a MASSACRE: the delivery drivers must not read the "package to be kept horizontal" mention. Pots emptied of their soil, bubble wrap protections pierced, package edges soaked and torn, all the shoots broken on my 3 plants: campsis, hibiscus, and setaria. An order over 80€. I planted despite the sad state and all the beautiful stems broken. It will be necessary to start over from scratch for the plants to become as they should have been received, with no guarantee of recovery. I do not question PDF but the transport is absolutely neglected. We should not receive an order in this state! Unfortunately, I do not think I will order from you again despite a long wishlist SOLELY because of the transport which for both times has been a real DISASTER even though the packaging seems correct. It's a shame!

Description

The Indian summer Trumpet Vine or Campsis is a climbing perennial plant that blooms from late June to September with abundant trumpet-shaped flowers. Its flowers are salmon-orange on the inside and orange-yellow on the outside. Resembling exotic trumpets, they measure 7 to 8 cm (3in) in diameter.

The foliage of the Indian summer Trumpet Vine is deciduous. It is borne on quite stiff climbing stems. The stems attach themselves to walls, facades, pergolas, as well as fences and tree trunks. With rapid growth, it can reach a height of up to 3 m (10ft) in adulthood.

Originating from North America, China, and Japan, it is a very hardy Campsis. It is also a very good groundcover. You can also grow it in a large container, it will enhance your balcony or patio.

Planting and care

The Trumpet Vine is planted in a fertile, moist but well-drained soil, preferably against a sunny wall and sheltered from cold winds. Under a warm climate, trumpet vines can tolerate a shaded position. You can prune back 3 or 4 buds on the main stem to encourage flowering at the end of winter or the beginning of spring. The Indian Summer Trumpet Vine has excellent disease resistance.
