The conical dibber is an essential hand tool when preparing planting holes in pots, flower boxes, densely planted beds, or raised vegetable beds. It is designed for digging and excavating in well-prepared, loosened, and finely cultivated soil. This model consists of a short handle made of natural ash, known for its hardness, with a metal ferrule where the hand-forged carbon steel head is securely attached. It is resistant to shocks, torsion, and corrosion thanks to the boron steel finish. This dibber is used to make holes up to 10cm (4in) deep and 3.5cm (1in) in diameter, suitable for small-sized bulbs. It is also used to dig narrow furrows where seeds are deposited before being covered with soil. The handle is compostable, and the metal head is recyclable.

The traditional De Pypere range includes high-quality tools that are all made of forged steel and equipped with ash handles. The boron steel coating on the blade is very hard and resistant, making it a valuable material for tools that are heavily used in the garden.

This tool is under warranty. This warranty only applies to the metal parts, except consumables (screws, springs, etc.), and within the scope of normal use. The warranty does not apply to handles or grips.

Directions for use This dibber is used to prepare planting holes for bulbs with a diameter not exceeding 3.5cm (1in), or to dig narrow furrows in previously loosened, aerated, and refined soil. Work in soil preferably softened by rain or watering. Insert the head of the dibber vertically into the soil to form a hole, or use it to dig long, narrow furrows. Let the seeds or bulb slide to the bottom of the furrow or hole thus formed, before filling it with the extracted soil.
