Its tempered steel head is hand-forged, with a boron steel finish.

This traditional De Pypere cultivator or garden claw with an ash handle is designed for aerating, raking and weeding in small areas and between plants, in flower beds, or even in raised beds and vegetable gardens. Its hand-forged tempered steel head, formed by 3 sharpened tines, has a boron steel finish. Durable, lightweight and easy to handle, it is a well-made hand tool that will accompany the gardener for many years.

Dimensions: triple claw head: 8 x 8cm (3in) - Handle length: 14cm (6in)

The garden claw is an essential tool for gardening, especially for maintaining the soil between vegetables and flowers. It is used for sweeping and raking, scraping and scratching, hoeing, weeding, aerating and loosening, and refining the texture of the soil, creating a favourable environment for sowing, germination and the development of young roots. This tool consists of a short handle made of sustainably managed natural ash wood, chosen for its hardness, with a socket where the forged head made of tempered steel that is resistant to shocks, torsion and corrosion is fixed. The head has 3 short, curved and pointed tines at their ends. It can manoeuvre around vegetable plants, in flower pots, plant beds or shrub beds to remove young weeds that can then be collected. The handle is compostable, and the metal head is recyclable. The garden claw is sometimes called a garden fork, cultivator, claw pick or hoe.

The traditional De Pypere range includes high-quality tools, all made of forged steel and equipped with ash handles. The tempered boron steel coating on the blades is very hard and resistant, making it a valuable material for tools that can be heavily used in the garden.

This tool is under warranty. The warranty does not apply to handles or grips, only to the metal parts except for consumables (screws, springs, etc.), and within the scope of normal use.

Directions for use The 3-tooth garden claw is particularly well-suited for small spaces and maintaining flower containers or vegetable patches. It is used for raking, sweeping, scraping, and refining the surface of the soil, especially in spring, after preparing and turning over the soil using a spade, pickaxe, or fork-spade. It can also be used for weeding: scrape the soil and then remove unwanted weeds. It is a useful tool for cleaning the borders near crops, without risking damage to their roots. You can also harvest small potatoes using the garden claw.
