De Pypere's traditional weeding knife

This traditional De Pypere weeding knife is a hand tool specially designed for scraping soil, removing moss, cleaning, and weeding the joints between paving stones. It is equipped with a short and sturdy ash handle that facilitates grip and has a knife-shaped blade with two sharpened edges for precise work. Its blade is hand-forged from steel with a boron steel finish. It is a lightweight, manageable, durable, well-made tool that will last for many years.

This small hand tool is made up of a handle made of sustainably managed natural ash wood, known for its hardness, with a socket where the head is fixed at a right angle. The head is forged from tempered steel that is resistant to shocks, torsion, and corrosion. With its short handle for working in a kneeling position, this model is more suitable for small surfaces or for maintaining raised vegetable patches or flower boxes. The sharp and cutting edges of the blade cut weeds and remove moss that has grown in the gaps of paved or tiled surfaces, or along paths and terraces. This tool also allows for the precise removal of less developed "weeds" that appear in flower beds. It can also be used to hoe around plants, to loosen the soil surface to prevent the formation of a hard crust that is very difficult to rehydrate, suffocates plants, and promotes water evaporation. The handle is compostable, and the metal head is recyclable.
